This week cane cuttings from Dieffenbachia:

The cutting was placed on its side in planting medium. The buds appear as swellings on the stem.

I then checked in on plants from previous weeks. The dogwood had turned an odd shade of green, and the lenticels had turned dark brown.

There was some browning at the tips of the remaining foliage of the Thuja plicata. And there was some discoloration in the exposed cut off the snake plant:
